Sagamu Microfinace Bank was established on the 11th of November, 1992 as a Community Bank. The first of its kind in Sagamu in those days. Sequel to Central Bank’s directive that all Community banks to transform to Microfinance Bank where proper guidelines had been prepared for proper monitoring so as to prevent continued failure of community banks due mismanagement and poor monitoring, in 2008 the bank was licensed as a unit Microfinance bank.
Today the bank is a fully fledged State Microfinance Bank with over #100 million Naira as its share holders fund unimpaired by losses.
